The Republic Tigers used two big innings to put away Hillcrest 12-5. Republic trailed 3-2, before they rallied for four runs in the top of the 5th. They added two more in the 6th and four runs in the 7th to put the game away.
The Tigers outhit Hillcrest 8-6. The Hornets committed six errors.
Nick Peterson scored four runs for the Tigers, and Arturo Elivo added three RBIs. Brock Robbins was 2-for-4.
