Volleyball Team Falls to Glendale in 3

Two of the best volleyball teams in the area met at Republic High School Tuesday night, but Glendale knocked off Republic in 3 games, 22-25 25-21 25-20.

The Lady Tigers split the first two games, and took control early in the third. They jumped out to a 4-0 lead, and eventually led 15-6. But Glendale mounted a rally , outscoring Republic 12-3 and tying the game at 18. From there, the Falcons put the game away, outscoring the Lady Tigers 7-2 the rest of the way.

Bri Goforth led Republic with seven kills, and Jordan Jones had 13 assists. Mallory Long led the defense with nine digs, and Nicole Hallam had seven blocks.

Glendale improves to 3-0 this season. Republic falls to 1-2.

The Lady Tigers JV team bean Glendale 25-17 25-17. Republic’s freshmen won 25-7 25-11.
