The #5-ranked Republic Lady Tigers drained 12 3-pointers in a blowout win over Branson Thursday night, 75-47. Alice Heinzler hit six threes, and finished with 22 points to lead Republic. Center Alexis Edwards added 13 points, including a 3-pointer of her own. Alex Botkin had 11 points, and Payton Rayl had 9, all on 3-point shots.
The game was close in the first half, and Branson led for much of the early going. Republic pulled ahead 17-11 after one period, and led 32-23 at halftime. A 24-15 advantage for the Lady Tigers in the 3rd quarter helped put the game away.
Michaela Dapprich led all scorers with 23 points for the Lady Pirates.
Republic improves to 18-6. Branson falls to 16-9.
The Lady Tigers are back in action at home Friday night against #2 Miller Career Academy. The JV game begins at 5 pm.
