Lady Tigers Come Back to Beat Nixa

Logan Keck singled home the game-winning runs in the bottom of the 7th inning, as the Republic Lady Tigers came from behind to beat Nixa, 8-7. It was the sixth straight win for Republic.

Republic led 5-4 after six innings, but Nixa appeared to take control with a three-run rally in the top of the 7th, to give them a 7-5 lead.

In the bottom of the 7th, Stephanie Eckhoff hit an infield single to lead off, and Rachael Michaelis reached on an error. After Amanda Snider popped out to second, Brooke Dutton reached on an infield single and Eckhoff scored. That set up Keck’s game-winning hit to right-center field.

Eckhoff pitched a complete game, striking out four, for the win. Payton Apleberry was 3-for-3 for the Lady Tigers.

The Lady Tigers improve to 8-1. They’re 2-0 in the COC.
