Lacrosse is not an official school sport at Republic, but that’s not stopping it from growing in popularity. Twenty-one players are on the Republic Tigers Lacrosse team this year, and 11 of those are new.
The Tigers started their pre-season games in February. They recently competed in a three-game tournament in Tulsa, winning one match (6-3) and losing two (5-4 and 5-1).
The team will host a tournament at the Middle School this weekend, March 10-11. You can see the team’s full schedule at their website.
