Republic’s tennis team rebounded from its first loss of the year with an 8-1 win over Hillcrest at Grant Beach Park in Springfield. The Tigers swept doubles, with two teams — Michael Nacy/Bradley Hendrix and Will Hyde/Cory Harris — remaining undefeated for the season.
Republic dominated the #3 through #6 singles matches, not dropping a single game. Will Hyde received the “game ball” from Coach Dan Vales for his win over Hillcrest’s Samuel Hallam, 8-4.
The JV Tigers also won, 2-1.
Republic has a double-header coming up Thursday against Nixa and Kickapoo at Gillenwaters Tennis Center in Springfield.
