Lady Tigers Strike Late to Beat Webb City

It took a while, but the Republic Lady Tigers’ offense finally got going in a 4-0 win at Webb City.

The Lady Tigers failed to score in the 1st half, despite getting several good looks at the goal. When they did score, they did it in a hurry.

Republic’s first goal game more than 15 minutes into the 2nd half, when Sara Marcotte found the back of the net. Emily Griffith followed up with a goal less than three minutes later to make it 2-0.

It took just about a minute more for the Lady Tigers to get their 3rd goal — this one by Jessie Hays on an assist from Sierra Casagrand. Six minutes later, Republic scored again when Emily Jordan put the ball past the keeper with 14:49 remaining in the game.

Republic improves to 12-9 this season. The Lady Tigers are back in action Thursday on the road against Greenwood.
