Republic Puts Six on All-COC Team

Six Republic softball players earned all-conference recognition from Central Ozark Conference coaches in their post-season voting. Junior Emily Hall was a unanimous selection to the first team, and Rachel Rook also earned first-team honors. She was the only sophomore to make the first team.

Shortstop Kami Holt, despite hitting 11 home runs, driving in 41 runs, and putting up a slugging percentage of .909, was voted to the second team behind Webb City shortstop Desirea Buerge, whose slugging percentage was even higher, despite hitting only seven homers. Joining Holt on the second team was senior right fielder Molly Zinecker.

Senior center fielder Abby Norris and junior third baseman Lauren Strobel round out the all-conference honors for Republic, with honorable mention.

The Lady Tigers finished 6-1 in the COC, taking second place, a game behind Ozark. Ozark also had six players with all-COC honors, led by Player of the Year Brittany Nimmo.
