We’re only a few weeks away from the start of the 2014-15 basketball and wrestling seasons. You can find full schedules for high school and middle school below. Strength of schedule is a common theme for Republic, with key matchups on the slate for all three varsity squads.
The defending state champion Republic Tigers tip off their basketball season early this year, with a game at Drury University on November 21st. The Tigers will face Fort Smith Southside in their opener at 5:00 p.m. The 50th annual Republic Boys Invitational takes place the week of December 1st. Republic will participate again in the Route 66 Shootout at Waynesville with a game against Hazelwood West.
The Lady Tigers will begin their season with a varsity/JV matchup at home against Camdenton on November 25th. Other highlights on the schedule include a game against powerhouse Columbia Rock Bridge in the Route 66 Shootout at Waynesville on December 20th and a trip to Lee’s Summit on Saturday, January 10th.
The wrestling team opens the season at the Bolivar Invitational on December 6th. They’ll also host perennial state contender Neosho in a double dual alongside Camdenton on January 13th, and travel north for the Kearney Duals on January 24th.
