It’s been a feast-or-famine season for the Lady Tigers soccer team. When they win, they win big. When they lose–rarely–they lose big. Tuesday night was one of the losses, 7-0 at home to Nixa.

The Lady Tigers were hoping to continue the momentum from a 5-0 win over Greenwood the night before against one of the most powerful programs in southwest Missouri. They hung tough in the first half, trailing only 2-0 at halftime.

But in the second half, Nixa took control, scoring four goals in about a 20-minute span to put the game away.

It was just the third loss of the season for Republic, who had previously lost to Glendale and Ozark. In those three losses, the combined score is 22-1. In their 11 wins, the combined score is 54-4.
