Republic received the #2 seed in the Class 5 District 12 baseball tournament in Carthage, earning a bye in the first round of the six-team district. They’ll open with a district semifinal game at 7 pm on May 18th.
The Tigers will meet the winner of the opening-round game between Joplin (#3, 14-14) and McDonald County (#6, 13-13). The other opening-round game features Carthage (#4, 11-13) and Neosho (#5, 16-9).
The winner of the Neosho/Carthage matchup will face Webb City (#1, 17-6) at 4:30 pm on May 18.
The district championship game is scheduled for May 20 at 6 pm.
