Fanning advanced to the state sectionals Monday with a score of 88 at the Class 4 District 6 Tournament in Carthage. Fanning was the lone Tiger to advance out of districts. Tristan Ollar missed the cut by just one stroke, shooting a 91. Mitch Coiner shot a 95, Austin Melton finished with a 98, and Alex Holden finished with a 105.
Fanning advances to next Monday’s sectional round at Old Kinderhook Golf Club in Camdenton. Qualifiers from Districts 5 and 6 will compete for an opportunity to advance to state.
