Before the season started, coach David Ashby talked about getting more scoring out of Armando Hurtado. Thursday night, he got it.
Hurtado scored three goals in a 7-0 victory over New Covenant Academy on the road. The Tigers also got goals from Trenton and Payton Roetto, Drew Flippin, and Tanner Peabody.
“We moved a few people around to some new spots, with Julio and Dylan sitting out for a bit,” says coach David Ashby. “We moved the ball around very well and had a lot of good positive dynamic movement. The movement off the ball was key for us tonight.”
Ashby says he hopes the Tigers can take their momentum from Thursday into a key matchup next week in COC play against Willard. Those two teams meet next Tuesday.
