Soccer Tigers Drop Decision at Willard

The Republic soccer team lost a one-goal lead at halftime and fell on the road at Willard Tuesday night, 2-1.

The Tigers’ only goal came about 20 minutes into the game, when Julio Quezada booted home a free kick from 25 yards out. After that, they controlled the tempo and maintained possession for most of the game — but failed to build on their lead. Willard capitalized on Republic’s missed opportunities to score two second-half goals and eek out a victory.
