Soccer Tigers Shut Out at Nixa

untitled-119-X2Republic opened Central Ozark Conference soccer play on the road at Nixa Tuesday with a 6-0 loss. The loss drops Republic’s record to 1-2.

“(We) played hard,” says coach David Ashby. “We had our chances–just didn’t capitalize.”

The bright spot for the Tigers was the play of goalkeeper Cody Marcotte, who made “some amazing saves,” Ashby says.

The Tigers host West Plains in their home opener Thursday. The JV game begins at 4:30.
