Willard Pulls Away from Republic for Volleyball Win

Republic took Willard to the limit and beyond in the first set of their volleyball match Thursday night, but Willard found its footing in the second set and pulled away for a sweep, 28-26 25-7.

Brooke Stanfield had seven kills and three blocks for the Lady Tigers. Mikayla Botkin and Lynn Kreul added seven assists apiece.

The loss drops Republic to 9-12-2 overall. They’re 1-5 in the Central Ozark Conference.

The Republic JV won its match 25-14 25-21. The Willard freshmen won, 25-17 25-17.
