The 8th grade girls basketball team swept Branson in both the A and B games. Delaney Smith led the way with nine points and Carle Ward added seven in the A team’s 36-6 victory.
Healyn Barrett scored six, Jade Kirby and Whitney Weaver each had four, and Megan Weis, Kaly Edwards, and Jessie Jones scored two each.
“We played a lot better,” says coach Candy Blevins. “Everyone scored, making us hard to guard.”
In the B team’s 34-6 win, Brittany Messier had ten points to lead all scorers. Elaina Chapman scored seven. Yoti Lambe and Megan Weis scored six. Jessie Jones scored three. Taylor Potter scored two.
The Lady Tigers have three games this week: Monday at Marshfield, Tuesday at home against Carthage, and Thursday at Neosho.
