Alex Holden was the lone Tiger to earn all-conference honors at the Central Ozark Conference Tournament at Rivercut Golf Course. Holden shot an 88, good enough to earn him a tie for 8th place overall in the COC field.
The rest of the Tigers didn’t fare so well. None of them broke 90, and two of them were over 100 for the day. Coach Ben Wolfinbarger says it was just one of those days.
“We started bad and never recovered from it. I don’t think we got upset and frustrated and lost our composure, but I think trying to overcome such a bad start, we never got the ship turned around and we just had a bad day,” he says. “(We’ve got to) forget about it. That’s all we can do. We’ve got a week until the district tournament. We’ll go out and practice and … do everything we can to go over there and be competitive.
