Republic teed off its golf season with an 8th place finish in the 19-team field at the Missouri State University Relays at Bill and Payne Stewart Golf Course in Springfield. The Tigers tied with Rolla. Glendale dominated the tournament with a team score of 293, 19 strokes ahead of its nearest competitor.
Mitch Coiner led the Tigers with an 81. Austin Melton shot 82. Alex Holden scored 87; Tristan Ollar 90, and Kendall Hamilton 91.
The Tigers’ next tournament is next Thursday at Joplin.
