Chandler Coates struck out 11 and the Tiger offense racked up 11 hits on the way to a 10-3 win over Nixa Tuesday night. Republic scored in every inning — three runs in the 1st and 3rd, and single tallies in the 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th innings.
Regan Butterworth, Coates, Josh Gentry, and Tyler Mackey had two hits apiece for the Tigers. Gentry drove in two runs. Butterworth, McQuerter, and Ryan Cape each scored twice.
Coates allowed just one hit, but walked five in picking up the complete-game win. He didn’t allow an earned run, and lowered his ERA to 1.05. He’s 5-2 overall.
The Tigers have won two straight after dropping four in a row. They’ll be on the road at Marshfield Wednesday.
