It didn’t take long for Republic’s top-seeded tennis team to dispatch Joplin in the district semifinals Tuesday. Republic won five matches in a row to start the night, clinching the victory and advancing to the district championship on Wednesday. The remaining matches were ended when Republic won its 5th match to clinch it.
Republic is now 15-1 this season. They will host the district finals when Nixa comes to town Wednesday, beginning at 4 pm.
