Jade Kirby and Brylee Manes both turned in top-ten finishes at the East Newton Cross Country Invitational, pacing the Lady Tigers this weekend. Jake Parker led the boys team with a 17th-place finish. The Lady Tigers finished 3rd out of 19 teams. The Tigers were ninth out of 15 teams.
Kirby and Manes finished less than a half-second apart. Kirby finished in 21:44.83 and Manes in 21:45.05. Lawson Tunnell ran a 23:09.64 (22nd), and Madi Appleberry finished in 23:35.90 (28th). Kiersten Manes also finished in the top half of the field for the Lady Tigers, with Tabitha Caruthers, McKae Geromini, and Elaina Chapman competing for Republic as well.
On the boys side, Jake Parker ran an 18:19.70. Chad Parker finished in 19:06.60 (33rd). Ashton Canfield ran a 20:07.16, and Aaron Scobee a 21:10.95. Michael Casey, Steven Brymer, Ryan Mackey, Brandon Mackey, and Kyler Wilken also ran for Republic.
