Katie Hamilton finished one of Republic's best golf careers with an 87 on the second day of the state tournament at Columbia Country Club. Hamilton's score on Day 2 of the tournament matched her score on Day 1––despite the fact that she played better for most of the second day.
It was a score of 10 on one hole during the back 9 Tuesday that inflated her score. She had shot a 40 on the first nine holes Tuesday.
Hamilton's two-day total of 174 put her in 37th place among the field of 89 competitors. She had finished 58th as a junior at the state tournament last year.
