Three of the four Republic Middle School cross country teams — the 7th and 8th grade girls, and the 8th grade boys — finished second in the Central Ozark Conference meet at Nixa last week. Nixa swept all four races. Republic’s 7th grade boys finished fourth.
Jasmyn Douglas and Jazzy Kirby finished 2nd and 3rd individually in the 8th grade girls race. Chloe Burton was 6th.
In the 7th grade girls race, Brittany Gilliland was 2nd, Aaliyah Vasquez finished 6th, Mihane Nambara was 7th, and Cameron Gardner finished 10th.
Luke Ellis was the only top-10 finisher in the 8th grade boys race, coming in 9th. Camon Lairmore finished 3rd individually among the 7th grade boys.
