For the fourth time in five years, the Republic JV Lady Tigers are champions of the Willard Tournament. Republic whipped Willard 66-30 in the championship game. In the process, the Lady Tigers avenged their only loss from last year — a one-point defeat in overtime in finals of the same tournament.
The Lady Tigers opened the tournament this year with a 50-36 win over Rogersville. They followed it up with a 71-17 drubbing of Waynesville before winning the title Wednesday.
Republic runs its record to 5-0.
