Lady Tigers Crush Carthage

The Lady Tiger defense started and finished strong in a 61-31 home victory over Carthage Thursday night. Republic allowed just five points each in the 1st and 4th quarters to win their second consecutive game to start the conference season.

Eleven different players scored for the Lady Tigers. Brylee Manes led Republic with 16 points. Allyson Barrett had 10. Taylor Fergen scored eight. Natalie Bennett had six, Morgan McGuire had five, Avy Powell-Qualo scored four, and Madi Appleberry, Megan Branstetter, and Halli Bartelsmeyer scored three apiece. Madi Beckham scored two and Lacee Walcher added one.

Republic improves to 9-6 overall, and 2-0 in the Central Ozark Conference. They’re back in action next week at the Bolivar tournament.

Player of the Game
