Back to the Playoffs for Repmo Lacrosse

Republic’s lacrosse club team overcame a 4-1 halftime deficit to beat Union 8-7 at Missouri State University Friday. The win clinched a playoff appearance for Republic for a fourth consecutive year.

Coach Donnie Curran says in the years since he took over as coach, when Republic was looking for its first program win, the difference is “lots and lots of practice and dedication.

“It’s just a great group of young men. It makes my job easy. They make me look like I’m really good at what I do,” Curran says.

Justice Daniel scored four goals to lead Republic. Jake Smith scored two. Blake Hulland and Noah Buffington scored a goal apiece.
