Republic’s golfers finished 9th in a field of 18 teams at the Sonic Invitational Tournament at Carthage this week. Republic compiled a team score of 339. Nixa captured the team championship with a score of 296, just three strokes ahead of runner-up Nevada.
Austin Melton was Republic’s top finisher with an 84. That was good for 30th. Kendall Hamilton and Mitch Coiner each shot an 89, finishing in a tie for 46th. Grant Holmes shot a 96 and Kolby Hospfinished with a 97.
