Lady Tigers Lose 3-Set Heartbreaker

When Republic stormed back from a first-set loss at Branson, it looked like they’d taken control. But Branson rebounded to edge Republic in a hard-fought third set, defeating the Lady Tigers 25-21 11-25 24-26.

Thanks to the lopsided second set, Republic actually outscored Branson by eight points on the night, but Branson got the points that counted most, winning the final two of the night to secure the victory.

Rylee Moseman had 15 kills for Republic. Bella Drennan had 21 assists and three service aces. Eryn Russell had 12 digs, and Taegan Thomas had two blocks.

Republic falls to 10-11 overall. They’re 2-4 in the Central Ozark Conference.

Republic’s freshmen won their match in three sets, and Branson’s JV won in straight sets.
