Quigley Improves on Previous State Finishes

Republic’s Allison Quigley finished tied for 36th in a field of 90 golfers, at the rain-shortened Class Two State Golf Championship in Sedalia.

After bad weather forced the cancellation of the tournament’s first day, golfers had only one round to make their mark Tuesday. Quigley shot a 91 in difficult weather conditions to finish in the top half of the field.

Lindsey Eisenreich of Rockwood Summit blew away the rest of the field, shooting a 1-over-par 72. That was eight strokes ahead of the second-place finisher, Sun Young Jung of Springfield Glendale.

This was Quigley’s third trip to the state tournament. She had previously finished 78th as a freshman and 37th as a sophomore, so this year’s performance improves on her previous finishes.

Quigley Qualifies for State Golf Tournament

Allison Quigley qualified for the state golf tournament by finishing sixth overall at sectionals Wednesday. Quigley shot an 89 at Rivercut Golf Course.

This marks her third trip to the state tournament. She finished 78th overall her freshman year and 37th last year.

The state tournament will be held in Sedalia on October 17th and 18th.

Two Golfers Advance to Sectionals

Republic’s Allison Quigley won the district golf tournament at Horton Smith today with a score of 77. Baylee Rayl finished tied for 4th with an 82.

Quigley and Rayle both advance to the sectional golf tournament at Rivercut Golf Course next Wednesday, October 5th.

Two Republic Golfers Finish in Top 10

Two Lady Tigers finished in the top ten at the Jim Pearson Tournament in Springfield. The tournament was played in windy, wet weather conditions at Horton Smith Golf Course.

Allison Quigley led Republic with an 85, finishing tied for fifth. Baylee Rayl finished in a tie for ninth place, with an 88.

Lady Tigers Golf Team Takes 4th at COC

The Republic girls’ golf team finished 4th at today’s COC golf tournament. They were led by Baylee Rayl, who finished tied for first after 18 holes, with an 81. Rayl ended up finishing 2nd, after losing a three-hole playoff to Ashley Rand of Branson. Rand birdied the third playoff hole, after the two had halved the first two holes of the playoff.

Allison Quigley finished 4th with an 87. Other scores for Republic were Alexis Faxon with a 121, Bailey Cornelison with a 125, and Makena Fisher with a 126.

The Lady Tigers will be back in action on Wednesday at the Jim Pearson Memorial Tournament at Horton Smith in Springfield.

Two Republic Golfers Medal in Opener

Allison Quigley and Baylee Rayl both received medals to start off the Lady Tigers’ golf season at the Seymour Invitational Tournament.

Quigley and Baylee Rayl both shot a 91 at the Marshfield Country Club on Monday, to finish 10th individually. Among the other Lady Tigers in the tournament, Bailey Cornelison shot a 119, Erin Carleton shot a 136, and Makena Fisher finished with a 134.

Quigley and Rayl were both state qualifiers last year. Quigley finished 37th, and Rayl was 66th at state.

Tiger Golfers Send One to State

Republic’s Beau Allen qualified for the state golf tournament Wednesday. Allen shot a 77 in the sectional tournament at Marshfield to make the cut as a state qualifier. He was the only Republic golfer to qualify.

The Republic team had finished 2nd in districts to advance to sectionals.

Tigers Take 2nd at District, Advance to Sectionals

The Republic Tigers golf team finished second in today’s district tournament at Eagle Creek. The Tigers will join district champion Rogersville in advancing to the sectional tournament as a team.

Dylan Bekemeier, Beau Allen and Nick Yocum were all named to the all-district team.

Sectionals will be held next Wednesday at Marshfield.

Republic Golfers Finish Second

The Republic golf team took second place at the Rogersville Tournament Monday.

Beau Allen took home an individual medal, finishing in 6th place overall. Nick Yocum barely missed out on a medal, finishing tied for 7th and losing a scorecard playoff.

It’s the second top-two finish in as many weeks for Republic, who also took second place at Bolivar last week.

Republic Golfers Take 2nd at Home Tournament

The Republic Tigers golf team finished 2nd in its home tournament last week, one stroke behind champion Kickapoo. The Chiefs shot a 335 to take the title, with Republic at 336.

Joe Lighter of Kickapoo was individual champion, with a score of 77. Republic’s Dylan Bekemeier finished second with a score of 80. Aurora’s Riley Dodson and Rogersville’s Alec Palen tied for third, at 81.
