Steve McClanahan built his new locally owned pharmacy right next to his biggest competitors, but he’s looking to do more than compete. He wants to build something lasting that gives back to the community.
“Republic’s never had a hometown pharmacy. They’ve always had chains, or a regional chain-type store,” says McClanahan. “And nothing wrong with that, but there’s more of a personal touch involved with someone who’s living in the community area and wants to be involved in the community and give back to the community, and that’s what we’re aiming to do.”
