Tigers Blow Out Carthage

The Tigers used a 6-run 3rd inning to blow past Carthage 11-1 in a 5-inning run-rule victory Tuesday at Barnhouse. Tyler King’s 2-run triple keyed the big Republic rally.

King also went the distance on the mound, striking out six and allowing one run in five innings.

Gus Beck was 2-for-2 with a walk to lead the Tiger hitting attack. His 2-run double in the bottom of the 5th triggered the run rule to end the game early.

Kevin Stander also had two hits and a walk for the Tigers.
