Lady Tigers Get First-Ever Soccer Win

Shelby King reacts after scoring Republic's 1st goal.

Shelby King scored two goals, and Sara Marcotte added a goal and four assists, as the Lady Tigers soccer team won for the first time ever, 6-3 over Mountain View-Liberty. The Lady Tigers jumped on top with an early goal by King, and added a second goal later in the 1st half, when Sam Minor scored.

Republic led 2-0 at halftime, and dominated possession for the bulk of the first half.

In the 2nd half, Republic got goals from Sara Marcotte, Sierra Casagrand and Sadie Stevens to build a 5-0 lead. After Mountain View-Liberty scored three late goals in the final 10 minutes, King scored her second goal of the game to account for the final margin.
