The Republic Lady Tigers played four games against district opponents this season. They won all four. But they will be the #2 seed in the upcoming district tournament, after a vote by coaches Wednesday.

The top seed goes to Rogersville, who lost to Republic at home 3-1 early in the season. Rogersville will play the winner of a match between the #4 and #5 seeds, Hillcrest and Marshfield. The Lady Tigers beat both those teams, too.

Republic meets #3 seed Carl Junction, a team they beat in overtime on the road, 2-1.

The district tournament begins May 14 with the game between Hillcrest and Marshfield. Republic meets Carl Junction on May 16 at Carl Junction.

  1. I think the girls are all pretty fired up about the decision that was made. The lady tigers have worked so hard this season to improve on not just things on the field but also improving how we look at situations.(like being the underdogs) Advice: All I can say is be ready, because we aren’t stopping short until we get that district championship.
