Different Event, Same Result

Ryan Way qualified for the AAU Junior Olympics for a second consecutive year, this time in a different event. Way punched his ticket to nationals with a 3rd-place finish in the 2000-meter steeplechase event.

Steeplechase is an obstacle course event that features barriers and water jumps combined with distance running.

Way competed in the 17- and 18-year-old division. He finished in a time of 6:59.26 to take 3rd overall at the regional event in Joplin.

Last year, Way finished 7th nationally in the 3000-meter run at the AAU Junior Olympics in New Orleans.
