Eight Republic football players have won post-season honors from the Southwest Missouri Football Coaches Association. Running back Jerney Jones and offensive lineman Skyler Hale led the way with their selection to the first team.
Zach Dickens was a second-team honoree for his work as a linebacker in the middle of the Republic defense.
Five other Tigers were named to the third team, including two of Hale’s offensive line-mates. Bryan Cole and Garrett Presnall were both voted to the all-area team, along with three defenders: defensive end Tyler Puckett and defensive backs Nic Daigh and Devon Ward.
