Republic had two runner-ups and five top-4 finishers at the Central Ozark Conference wrestling tournament in Nixa Saturday. Michael Taylor finished second in the 113-pound weight class, and Jonathan O’Connell was second at 120 pounds.
Julian Richardson (220 lbs.) and Hunter Pyle (182 lbs.) both took third place. Deric Woodman finished fourth at 160 lbs.
The Tigers finished seventh out of nine teams, ahead of Carl Junction and Webb City, and just behind Nixa. Neosho cruised to the COC title. Willard was second and Carthage was third.
