Hunter Pyle joins Julian Richardson and Michael Taylor at state. He defeated Deryl VanNostrand of Marshfield in a 7-3 decision to win his bubble match.

Just a few seconds into overtime, Zachary Fennell of Rolla took down Jonathan O’Connell to advance. O’Connell loses 4-2, and falls just short of a state trip as a freshman.

After a narrow miss last season, Julian Richardson wins his 2017 semifinal and advances to state! He wrestles for a district championship later.
Hunter Pyle lost his semifinal match on a 3-2 decision. He and Jonathan O’Connell will wrestle next with a trip to state on the line.

One Republic wrestler, Michael Taylor, has qualified for the state tournament and advanced to the district championship match later today.
Three other wrestlers are still alive. Jonathan O’Connell is in the bubble round and must win his next match to qualify for state. The loser is eliminated. Hunter Pyle and Julian Richardson are both in the semifinals. If they win their next match, they qualify for state. If they lose, they’ll have to win their subsequent match to advance.
