Tennis Tigers Sweep Vikings

Republic tennis coach Dan Vales gave some his younger players a taste of varsity experience, and it didn’t hurt the team one bit in a 9-0 sweep of Parkview on the road Monday. Several other players moved up from their normal lineup spots, including Isaac Jordan, who captured his first-ever win at the #1 singles slot.

Lucas Hayes won his first varsity match at #5 singles. Jack Cook and Jared Zane teamed for a doubles win, and it was the first varsity victory for both of them. They overcame a 3-0 deficit to win 8-5.
Republic improves to 11-1 this season. The JV team, which won all five of its matches, improved to 8-0 this year.
